About Gallun Jewelry

In 1950 Dorothy Gallun began her career in the antique and estate jewelry business.  It has been a long and exciting journey.  Jewelry has always been her passion, not just a business.  Her collection of antique and estate jewelry is extensive and her knowledge of the history and construction of jewelry is vast.  Dorothy has exhibited her jewelry at prestigious shows such as the Houston Antique Dealers Association Show, the Grosse Pointe Michigan, Christ Church Show, and the Hinsdale Antique Show.  Notable shows in the greater Milwaukee area that she continues to exhibit at are the Cedarburg Antique Show and the St Monica's Antique Show.

Dorothy's love of jewelry has been contagious...passing her love on to countless customers, many of who are second generation, as well as her daughter, Patty.  In 1981 Patty graduated from the Gemological Institute of America, earning her Graduate Gemologist in Residence status.  Upon graduation, Patty moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she opened Patricia Gallun Gemological Services.  There she was an independent appraiser who did jewelry appraisal work for the majority of Tulsa's finer Jewelry Stores (Bruce G. Weber at Miss Jackson's, Boswells and Moody's Jewelry) as well as the general public.  After 4 years of doing jewelry appraisals Patty was eager to begin a career in selling jewelry.  It was then that Patty and her mother first went into business together.  While Patty's life has taken her down many and varied pathways she is thrilled to be back in the jewelry business with her mother.

Their new undertaking, Dorothy Gallun & Associates, is a "private showroom".  Patty and Dorothy believe that buying jewelry is a very personal and confidential experience.  By accepting clients on an appointment basis the customer is assured that they will receive the time and attention they deserve.  During appointments Dorothy and Patty will have the opportunity to educate their clients as to the gemological, historical, and construction attributes of the jewelry.  We are pleased to offer this type of service to our clients at surprisingly affordable prices.
